I’m going to be completely upfront and honest with you: I’m a pretty crappy sewer. Sure, I know my way around a machine and can fix small holes in jeans and things like that, but I’m nowhere near as crafty as I ought to be. That’s why I’m absolutely in love with these easy-sew Easter table decoration ideas. All of the ideas on this list are such simple sewing projects, and you’ll get tons of compliments on your creation! Check out a few of my favorite ideas below!
Easter Table Decor
Gingham Table Cloths and Napkins
This year, I’m going with a gingham theme and the photo below was my inspiration! Look at how seamlessly everything blends together on the table below. Not only does the blue and tan gingham look incredible paired together, but the bright bouquet of flowers really ties the whole thing together. Believe it or not, it’s relatively easy to sew yourself a table cloth. Simply pick out your favorite color of gingham (or colors) and purchase a bolt of it. Typically, bolts of fabric are the perfect amount to cover a table 2-3 feet wide. After you’ve purchased your fabric, all that’s left to do is wash, iron, and hem. Voila! Your Easter table cloth is complete. Time to eat!

No-Sew Burlap Accessories
I, for one, love when I can create awesome things for my home with little to no sewing. This adorable project for Easter perfectly fits the bill because it requires NO sewing at all! These “napkin holders” can be easily created with a bolt of burlap and a sharp pair of scissors. DIYers should be warned that burlap does unravel easily (especially if not cut correctly) but you can use this tutorial to learn how to keep it from fraying. After cutting the burlap, simply tie your silverware bundles with your strips of burlap. You can even add sprigs of freshly cut flowers like the DIYer below did! Isn’t it beautiful?
No-Sew Burlap Table Runner
Speaking of no-sew projects and burlap, you can create a table runner like the one below. It requires virtually no sewing! Follow the tutorial above to cut your burlap without it fraying. Now, all that’s left to do is display your creation on your table during Easter dinner. Like the photo below, I like the idea of pairing burlap with brighter accessories. Work in colored Easter eggs and flower clippings (the one below is hyacinth) wherever you can to add a pop of color. A table runner like the burlap one below will look amazing throughout the entire Spring season!
Polka Dotted Place Mats and Uniquely Folded Napkins
When it comes to my favorite patterns, polka dots are definitely up there on the list. This Easter, create your own place mats out of a polka dotted pattern, or something similar. The sewing project is relatively simple and usually only takes 10 minutes a piece to sew up. Simply cut the fabric to your desired size, place two pieces (right side facing in) together and hem. Once hemmed, flip the fabric inside out and iron for a smooth finish. Easy, right?
