I come from a family full of readers! Seriously, I bought my firstborn a bookcase before I bought him a crib! Over the years, bookcases get old, worn out, and just kind of scraggly! Instead of simply tossing out your once beloved bookcase, here are 12 other things you can do instead!

First off, you simply must check out this bookcase turned outdoor garden from Hometalk!  As soon as spring arrives, slide out the drawers and use them as container gardens. Just make sure you seal your paint before you stick your bookcase out into the elements!
