Ah. The front door. The thing everyone sees. Guests, strangers, neighbors walking the dog, they all see it. But it’s up to you whether it’s an eye sore, a “regular” door, or eye candy. Here are a few colors (and door designs) for you to mull over in regards to your own front door status.
{I chose all Benjamin Moore paint colors but other brands have similar colors by other names.}
Benjamin Moore Teal Ocean: I love blue for a front door. I’m not entirely sure why but it’s calming. It says, “Come in, have a cup of lemonade and let’s chat.”
Benjamin Moore Wythe Blue: Another blue but this is a little less domineering. Personally, this is my favorite color for a front door. It goes well with almost exterior color. (For the most part.)
Benjamin Moore Yellow Marigold: This yellow is gorgeous in my opinion. It works extremely well against the dark gray.
Benjamin Moore Golden Honey: I love this color with the style of the door and the shingles…brilliant. It’s a calming and inviting but not overwhelming color.
Benjamin Moore Tequila Lime: Okay, friends, this color is bold, it’s exciting, it’s vibrant! It’s also not for everyone but I think it really works for this house design (and others like it!)
Benjamin Moore’s Dark Purple: My favorite color is purple and someday I will try this color on my front door! It’s regal but not imposing.
Benjamin Moore Raspberry Glaze: Okay, pink can be hit or miss. My husband would never go for this but it’s a refreshing color and I think it would be great for a country cottage or a beach side retreat, if you happen to have one.
