Coastal Room Divider

Just the thing for a coastal home! It looks like driftwood, but it isn’t! Create your own out “laths” or the wooden structure that gives your plaster something to adhere too.

IKEA Room Divider Hack

Not the ideal solution for someone who is looking for more privacy, but it’s a cute idea regardless! Use a Kallax bookshelf straight from IKEA to divide up your room.

Pallet Divider

Turn four pallets into a great room divider by stacking two on top of each other (twice) and then hinging the two stacked pieces on top of one another.  Something like this would have been perfect when I was a college student!

Cloth And PVC Pipe

This is one of the easiest tutorials on the list! Use PVC pipe and cotton drop cloths to fashion your own DIY room divider. Tutorial from Instructables.

Photo Room Divider

Make your family members the center of your new space with a framed photo room divider. Leave it black or paint it a funky color, it’ll look fantastic either way! You can purchase something similar to this at Amazon.

High Hung Curtain Dividers

If you are renting an apartment, you are probably dying for some more space. Create another room out of an existing one with high hung curtains. Yours can be solid or see-through like the ones pictured. If you are a renter, I suggest hanging your curtain rods on command hooks. It’s life-changing and leaves no damage.

Classic Room Divider

If privacy is what you are looking for; look no further! A yellow lined divider makes a dramatic statement in any corner of the room. It’s a classic room divider, too! Find the tutorial from Goodwill.

Chalkboard Room Divider

Keep all of your household notes organized and easily visible with a chalkboard room divider. Each panel of the divider can be used to keep track of your groceries and such. Tutorial from here.
