Mothers Day is right around the corner! It can be difficult to figure out just what Mom wants for her special day, but these craft ideas for kids could be it! These Mother’s Day crafts for preschoolers are easy and they require little supervision on your end. Celebrate Mothers Day with a DIY gift or two!
After your kids color and paint the clothespins, help them attach their creations to the base of a small planter. You’ll need one of Mom’s favorite flowers, but you probably have everything else you need for this craft at home!
Instead of gifting your Mom a set of flowers that will just die (seriously, how depressing) give her a homemade bunch that never will! Kids will use their thumbprints to accentuate the flowers, and their artistic abilites to decorate a terra cotta pot.
If your kids have a Mom that loves to read, gift her with a bookmark that she’ll never lose. Kids can use paintbushes or their fingers to decorate the bookmarks!
Use a clay pot as the base of this project, and decorate it with ripped tissue paper and white school glue. Make sure that you have something to cover your workspace with, because this clean up process can be a real doozie!
When I was younger we ALWAYS did some kind of handprint themed Mother’s Day craft. Later on I realized how awesome it was to see your kids grow up through their handprint crafts. I like this craft because you can add everyones handprint into your craft piece to make it look like a bouquet!
Speaking of handprint crafts! Use your kids handprints to create little “flowers” on a white apron. If desired, you could even use two footprints as the wings of a butterfly! What Mom wouldn’t love cooking in a homemade apron?
