Displaying books is one thing but honestly, sometimes you just want to display a few while having others tucked away neatly out of sight. Especially if they’re old heavy text books that your husband refuses to throw away…Anyway, here is a list of ways to organize and store your books if making them into a focal point in your house doesn’t sound appealing.
Kitchen Island: If you have a plethora of cooks books that you want tucked away but within easy access to everyone in the house, putting them on a shelf in your kitchen island is a great option.
Stair Bookself: Under the stairs. Easy and clean.
Window Seat: Another option that is tucked away but gives access to everyone in the house.
Plastic Storage Bins: For those books you don’t need immediate or consistent access to (aka my husband’s bazillion pound engineering textbooks)
Book Shelves: Um, hello! In all of our creativity do we forget to just turn to the tried and true way of storing books? I know I do!
Hanging/Floating Shelves: Similar to the last idea, but different enough especially if you’re lacking floor space.
Spice Rack: I know this is a little more “display” than “storage” but for a kid’s room or nursery, this is a fabulous way to store them.
Coffee Table: This is a really fun idea for books you want access to but you don’t want to display. Check out how to make your own by following the source link on the image!
