Nothing screams summer quite like a cool and refreshing glass of tart lemonade. Whether you like your lemonade the traditional way, or your like to add a hint of something else, these lemonade recipes are perfect for you! All recipes courtesy of Pottery Barn. All recipes start with 1 1/2 cups of lemon juice, 1/4 cup of sugar, and 5 cups of water.
Watermelon
Like lemonade, watermelon is a staple of summer. A summer barbecue isn’t perfect without a freshly cut melon! Combine the two greatest things of summer and add 5 cups of fresh watermelon juice to your lemonade.
Mint Lime-Ade
So this isn’t lemonade, but it is just as refreshing, and maybe even more delicious. Instead of putting lemon juice in your drink, substitute 1 1/2 cups of fresh lime juice, and 2 springs of freshly chopped mint.
Strawberry Lemonade
Strawberry lemonade is a classic twist to the traditional lemonade. Simply add 1 1/2 cups of freshly blended strawberries to your lemonade mixture.
Sparkling Mint
Instead of the lime-ade variation, add 1 cup of fresh mind leaves, 8 ounces of simple syrup, and 2 cups of sparkling water to your lemonade mixture. The sparkling water will slightly carbonate the beverage, making it totally yummy!
Fresh Honey
Honey is considered a super food by many nutritionists. Depending on how sweet you want your lemonade, add 1/3 to 1/2 a cup of honey to your freshly brewed batch of lemonade.
Lavender
Lavender is world renowned for it’s health properties. This recipe is a bit more complicated, but you will love how delicious this is! Add 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup lemon juice, 7 springs of lavender (stems included), 1/2 cup of lime juice, and 2 tablespoons of raw honey to your lemonade mixture.
Sparkling Peach Lemonade
Peaches are a great addition to any summer fruit. They’re rich in vitamins, and they taste even better! Add 3 juiced peaches and 2 springs of fresh mint.
Pineapple Lemonade
Lime and pineapple come together to create a delicious summertime beverage. Combine 1 cup of fresh pineapple juice and a squeeze of lime.
Frozen Lemonade
The best part of visiting Disneyland is the frozen lemonade! Now, you can make something similar from the comfort of your own home. You need 1/3 cup of fresh orange juice, 3/4 cup and 2 tablespoons of simple syrup, 1/3 cup of fresh blackberries, 4 sprigs of fresh mint.
Raspberry Peach
A different take on the sparkling peach lemonade mentioned previously. Add a handful of blended or mashed raspberries, and 3 blended peaches to your lemonade mixture.
