The conundrum is a kid’s bedroom. I really love when a bedroom is age appropriate but I find the idea of painting a little girl’s room bright pink and covering it with princess paraphernalia to be cumbersome because in five to ten years, you’ll have to change it up again. While that part is fun, it is also expensive. I love child-centered room decor and I try to focus on making the most of the design. Here are some amazing decor ideas for your child’s room.
Art Gallery: Use art that your kids will enjoy. For example, if they’re in to cars, choose some pictures of old fashioned cars and frame them. Or use their own art!
Chalkboards: Add a large chalkboard to the room for a creative outlet.
A Measuring Stick: Paint a tall narrow piece of wood and paint it like a ruler. Put it up in your kid’s room and use it to measure their height. If they get too old for it, you can take it down and store it elsewhere
Letters: Hanging up letters, either the entire alphabet or just letter that spell out the child’s name, is a really inexpensive way to add a personal touch to a room.
Wall Decals: There are so many designs to choose from and you can peel them off the wall if they are no longer in taste for your kid!
Canopy: Install a simple canopy above your little princess’ bed. It’ll make her feel like a queen but won’t be too difficult to take down when she grows out of it.
Neutral Bedding: But FUN pillows and blankets. This way you can keep the bedding longer and donate the pillows and blankets later.
